I'm Jason, a native Oregonian who recently spent some time in the San Francisco Bay Area (2016 - 2019) working for biotech startup Zymergen! I currently live and work remotely from Central Oregon. I equally enjoy the outdoors, live music, craft beer, technology, and traveling.
I attended Oregon State University from 2005-2009 where I double-majored in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering with a minor in Business & Entrepreneurship. After finishing my undergraduate studies, I completed a Master of Engineering degree [Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering] at OSU in June of 2010.
I began my professional career at ON Semiconductor as an Industrial Engineer for the Photolithography, Etch, Implant, and Probe areas of the Gresham, Oregon wafer fab. After close to 6 years in semiconductor manufacturing, I was introduced to some fascinating work blending biology, robotics, and data science. After 3.5 years in the biotech industry, I decided it was time to move back home to Oregon and venture out on my own!
Iām currently pursuing an interest in software, data science and analytics. There are many aspects of my manufacturing experience that aid in identifying and rolling out impactful data science solutions! My current focus is on a recently launched data analytics subscription service for the network marketing and direct sales industry. I love working with clients to help them understand, monitor, and grow their sales in a calculated and strategic way!
